Kateřina Kümpel founded the Zvol si info project in 2016 with other students at FSS MU. Zvol si info focuses on improving media literacy in Czech and Slovak society. They go to schools and do workshops about social networks and (dis)information, but also try to teach people how to know their way around the digital jungle. Zvol si info project authors wrote a The Best Book on Fake News, Disinformation and Manipulation and received several awards for its work, for example: Gratias Tibi from People in Need and Dies Academicus from the Rector of Masaryk University.
Ms Kümpel contributed to the Guide to Social Networks, Decipher Messages, methodological material for libraries, and is now writing a methodology on media literacy for teachers at the 2nd level of elementary schools.
